Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Solo.Shots ("the App", "we", "us") is developed and operated by Gül Eda Aydemir, an independent iOS developer. Contact: solostaseraofficial@gmail.com.

2. What we don't do

• We don't upload, transmit or store your photos or projects on any server we control. Solo.Shots has no developer server.
• We don't ask you to create an account and we don't collect your name, email address or phone number in the App.
• We don't use third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase or Mixpanel) and we don't use cloud or generative AI services.
• We don't sell your data.

3. Data stored on your device

The App stores the following on your iPhone or iPad, inside the App's own storage:

• Photos you take in the App (JPEG, plus a DNG file when you use RAW capture) and photos you import.
• Project details: names, rhythm (daily, weekly or monthly), photo goal, reminder settings and overlay settings.
• Photo details: capture date and camera information such as ISO, exposure, lens, front or back camera, flash and the phone's tilt (used by the level to match a reference photo).
• Preferences and counters: theme, language, streak data, onboarding state, ad pacing and the dates the App last asked for a rating.
• A small widget summary (such as project name, streak and whether today's photo is due) in a container shared with the Solo.Shots widgets.

Deleting the App removes this data from the device. Copies you saved to the Photos app, and any Premium iCloud backup (see section 4), are not removed by deleting the App. Your device's own iCloud or computer backup may also include App data, under Apple's terms.

4. iCloud Backup & Sync Premium

If you subscribe to Premium, Solo.Shots can back up and sync your projects using Apple's CloudKit:

• What is stored: your projects, photo files and photo details (as listed in section 3).
• Where: the private CloudKit database of your own iCloud account (container iCloud.com.guleda.soloshots). Only you can access it; the developer cannot see or download it.
• When: iCloud Backup is on by default for Premium subscribers. You can switch it off in Solo.Shots → Settings → iCloud Backup. It needs you to be signed in to iCloud and uses your iCloud storage.
• What it does: restores your projects on a new device or after reinstalling, and keeps your devices in sync. When you delete a photo or project in the App while backup is on, the iCloud copy is deleted too. The App never deletes iCloud copies just because local data is missing.
• How to delete it: delete the projects in the App while backup is on, or remove Solo.Shots data from your iCloud storage in iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

iCloud is operated by Apple and covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple encrypts iCloud data in transit and on its servers.

5. Camera and photo library

Camera

Used to take your progress photos inside the App. Photos are saved in the App on your device.

Saving to Photos (add-only access)

When you save a photo, video, poster or DNA Card, or turn on "Auto-Save to Camera Roll", the App asks to add items to your photo library.

Timelapse from your photos (read access)

If you use this feature, the App asks to read your photo library. It then:

• reads photos on your device to find faces (for "Me" or "Someone Else") or cats and dogs (for "My Pet"), skips screenshots, and picks one clear photo per day, week or month;
• uses Apple's on-device Vision framework for face landmarks, photo quality and pet detection, and to line photos up on the eyes;
• keeps face-matching data only in memory during the scan. It is not saved and not uploaded;
• may ask iOS to download full-size originals from your own iCloud Photos if they aren't stored on the device. That transfer is between your device and Apple.

If you give limited access, the App only sees the photos you selected. You can change access any time in iPhone Settings → Solo.Shots → Photos.

Importing and choosing photos

When you import photos into a project (Premium) or pick a photo from your library as a Ghost, only the photos you choose are copied into the App.

6. Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device at the time you choose. We don't use a push server and don't collect a push token.

7. Advertising (free version only)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Premium removes all ads.

• Tracking permission: during onboarding iOS asks whether Solo.Shots may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you allow it, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to personalise and measure ads. If you don't, the identifier isn't available to the App or AdMob. You can change this any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• What Google may collect to serve, measure and protect ads includes approximate location (for example from your IP address), device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostics such as crash and performance data. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
• App Store privacy label: because of these ads, the Solo.Shots App Store page lists Data Used to Track You (location, identifiers, usage data) and Data Not Linked to You (location, identifiers, usage data and diagnostics) for third-party advertising and analytics.

8. Purchases

Premium ("Solo.Shots Premium Monthly") is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The App checks your subscription on the device with Apple's StoreKit; there's no developer server involved. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

9. Analytics and diagnostics

Solo.Shots contains no third-party analytics SDK. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymised crash and usage reports through App Store Connect. We use them only to fix bugs and improve the App.

10. When you email us

If you write to solostaseraofficial@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem you report, and we'll delete the conversation on request.

11. Children

Solo.Shots is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents who take photos of their children with the App keep those photos on their own device (and, with Premium backup, in their own iCloud).

12. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your data. Because we don't hold your data on our own servers, you can exercise most of them directly:

• Delete data on the device: delete photos or projects in the App, or delete the App.
• Delete iCloud data (Premium): see section 4.
• Permissions: change Camera, Photos and Notifications access in iPhone Settings → Solo.Shots.
• Ads: decline tracking, or change it in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Upgrading to Premium removes ads.

13. Security and retention

Data on your device is protected by iOS security features such as device encryption and your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID. iCloud data is protected by Apple. We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you.

14. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when the App changes how it handles data, and change the "Last updated" date above.

• 28 October 2026: added section 15 about this website, which now counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Nothing changed in the App.
• 15 October 2026: updated for Solo.Shots 3.0: added iCloud Backup & Sync (Premium), Timelapse from your photos (on-device photo-library analysis), App Tracking Transparency and the App Store privacy label; replaced the contact address with solostaseraofficial@gmail.com.

15. This website

This website sets no cookies and shows no ads. To count visits it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which stores nothing in your browser and doesn't follow you across other sites or build a profile of you. When a page loads, a small script from Cloudflare reports the page address, the page that linked to it, your browser, operating system and device type, your country (worked out from your IP address) and how quickly the page loaded; we see only totals, never individual visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log technical data such as IP addresses to keep the service secure.
