The short version
- Your photos are never uploaded. Solo.Swipe has no photo server. Photos and videos are read and analysed on your device.
- Solo.Swipe does not ask for an account. There is no sign-up, no email address, no profile.
- Your library data stays on your device. Settings, statistics, streaks, album references and review history are stored locally.
- Usage statistics. Google Firebase receives usage statistics and crash reports so we can improve the app. They are linked to a random installation ID and, if you allow tracking, possibly to your advertising identifier — never your photos. Version 5.0 of the app has no in-app switch for this.
- The free version shows ads. Advertising is delivered by Google AdMob, which receives device and ad-request data — never your photos. Solo.Swipe Pro removes ads.
- Some data does leave your device, and section 11 lists exactly what goes to Apple and Google. None of it is your photos.
- Your choices. Photo access, tracking permission and notifications can be changed or withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings. Deleting the app stops usage statistics and removes everything it stored on your device.
1. Introduction
Solo.Swipe ("Solo.Swipe", "the app", "we") is a photo cleaner and organizer for iPhone and iPad developed by Gül Eda Aydemir, an independent developer. This policy explains what the app accesses, what is stored, what is shared with third parties, and the choices available to you. It applies to the Solo.Swipe app (on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro) and to this website.
By using Solo.Swipe you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
2. Your photos and videos
Solo.Swipe requests access to your photo library so it can show you your photos for review; the app cannot work without it. Access is requested through Apple's standard permission prompt. You can limit it to selected photos, or change or withdraw it at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
Your photos and videos are never uploaded, copied off your device, or shared with any third party. There is no Solo.Swipe server that receives images. All reading, thumbnail generation and analysis happens locally on your device through Apple's PhotoKit framework.
On-device analysis
Features such as Smart Modes and blur detection use Apple's Vision and Core Image frameworks, which run entirely on the device. Solo.Swipe does not send images to a cloud analysis service. Scan results are shown to you for review and are never sent anywhere.
Deleting photos
Solo.Swipe cannot delete anything on its own. When you confirm a cleanup, the request is passed to iOS, which shows its own confirmation dialog. Deleted items are moved to Apple's Recently Deleted album, where you can restore them for 30 days before iOS removes them permanently. Storage is reclaimed once items leave that album.
3. Data stored on your device
Solo.Swipe stores a small amount of data locally, using Apple's UserDefaults and an App Group container shared with its widgets. None of it is sent to a server operated by us. This includes:
- App preferences such as appearance, language and notification settings
- Session statistics — how many items you reviewed, kept or deleted, and approximate space freed
- Daily space goal, streak, Streak Freeze and achievement history
- Identifiers of albums created or used through the app
- A record of which items you have already reviewed, so they are not shown to you repeatedly
- Whether you have an active Solo.Swipe Pro subscription, and the daily free-tier counters (such as deletions used today)
This data is removed when you delete the app from your device. You can also reset statistics and review history from within the app's settings.
Totals from your cleaning sessions (for example, how many items were reviewed or deleted) are also sent as usage statistics, as described in section 7.
4. Personal information we do not collect
Solo.Swipe has no account system. We do not ask for, receive or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or any similar personal identifier. We do not link app data to your identity, and we do not sell personal information.
5. Purchases
Solo.Swipe is free to download and offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Solo.Swipe Pro (monthly or yearly), which removes ads and the free-tier limits. Purchases, renewals and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store; you can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple provides the app with the status of your purchase so the app can unlock the corresponding features, and Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction. When a purchase completes, the product, price and currency are recorded as an analytics event (see section 7) — never your payment details.
6. Advertising
The free version of Solo.Swipe is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob, part of Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. AdMob is a third-party SDK embedded in the app.
To request and display an ad, the AdMob SDK may process information such as your device type and operating system version, IP address, coarse location derived from that IP address, an advertising identifier, and data about how you interacted with the ad. This information is processed by Google, not by us, and is governed by how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your photos, videos and photo metadata are never shared with advertising partners. Ads are shown as separate cards or full-screen units and have no access to your library.
Solo.Swipe Pro removes advertising from the app. In the free version, you can also choose to watch an optional rewarded ad to unlock a Pro feature for the day or get extra deletions.
App Tracking Transparency
On iOS, Solo.Swipe uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework to ask whether you allow tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you allow it, the advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used to serve personalized ads. If you decline, the identifier is not made available and you will see non-personalized ads instead. Declining does not restrict any feature of the app. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Version 5.0 of Solo.Swipe does not show a separate ad consent form to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. Apple's tracking prompt described above still applies: if you decline, your advertising identifier is not shared, and Solo.Swipe Pro removes ads entirely. 7. Analytics and crash reporting
To learn which features are useful, fix crashes and keep the app free, Solo.Swipe uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google. They receive:
- How the app is used: which screens and features are opened, and summary counts for each cleaning session — for example how many items were reviewed, kept or deleted, the approximate space freed and how long the session took
- Interactions with ads, offers and the upgrade screen, and completed in-app purchases (product, price and currency — never payment details)
- App and device information: app version, device model, iOS version, language and approximate country
- Crash reports: technical details about what went wrong when the app crashes
This data is linked to a random identifier created for this installation of the app — not to your name, email address or Apple ID. It never includes your photos, their content, file names, album names, dates or locations.
If you allow tracking (see section 6), Google Analytics may also associate this data with your device's advertising identifier. Version 5.0 of the app has no in-app switch for analytics or crash reporting; deleting the app stops collection and resets the installation ID. Google processes this data under the Firebase privacy terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
Apple may also provide us with aggregated, anonymised App Store metrics and crash reports if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in your iOS settings.
8. Location data
Solo.Swipe can group your photos by place. This uses location coordinates that are already embedded in your photos' own metadata by the camera; those coordinates are converted into readable place names using Apple's geocoding service, which receives the coordinates but no photos. Solo.Swipe never asks for your device's current location, does not track your movements and does not transmit your location to us. Separately, Google derives an approximate country or region from your IP address for advertising and usage statistics (sections 6 and 7).
9. Notifications
Solo.Swipe can send local reminders about your daily space goal and your streak, On This Day memories and, only if you turn them on, occasional offers and discounts. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS; they are not push messages sent from a server. Any counts a reminder mentions, such as your streak or space freed, are calculated on your device. Notifications are optional and can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings › Notifications.
10. Widgets
Solo.Swipe offers optional widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen (iOS 17 or later): your streak, a daily photo from your library, space freed, and a Quick Clean shortcut. The widgets read data from a local App Group container shared with the main app, and the photo shown is read from your library on the device. Widgets do not send any data off your device.

12. Children's privacy
Solo.Swipe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
13. Data retention and deletion
Because Solo.Swipe does not send your photos or personal information to a server we operate, there is no remote account or archive for us to delete. All locally stored preferences, statistics and review history are removed when you uninstall the app, and can be reset from the app's settings at any time.
Usage statistics are kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted. Deleting the app stops collection and resets the random installation ID. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained according to Google's own policies; see the Google links in section 6 for details and controls.
14. Your choices and rights
- Photo access: grant, limit or revoke it in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
- Tracking: allow or decline in the app's prompt, and change it later in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Personalized ads: remove advertising with Solo.Swipe Pro, or limit ad personalization through your device and Google settings.
- Usage statistics: version 5.0 has no in-app switch; declining tracking keeps your advertising identifier out of them, and deleting the app stops collection.
- Notifications: enable or disable them in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Local data: reset statistics in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over personal data, such as the right to access, correct, delete or object to processing. We don't receive your name or contact details with usage statistics. Requests about advertising data can be directed to Google; you can also contact us using the details below and we will help where we can.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and the latest version is published here. The 28 October 2026 revision updated section 16: this website now counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. The 15 October 2026 revision added subscription details, widgets, the geocoding row in section 11, a note about this website and a new contact address. Continued use of Solo.Swipe after an update means you accept the revised policy.
16. This website
This website does not use cookies, advertising or tracking scripts. To count visits it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which stores nothing in your browser and doesn't follow you across other sites or build a profile of you. When a page loads, a small script from Cloudflare reports the page address, the page that linked to it, your browser, operating system and device type, your country (worked out from your IP address) and how quickly the page loaded; we see only totals, never individual visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may log technical data such as IP addresses to keep the service secure, under GitHub's privacy statement. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.
