One line
ATHA is a free breathing app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch that starts a calming breath in one tap. ATHA means now.
Short
ATHA guides breathing for sleep, stress and focus. Tap Breathe now or pick a moment such as “Before a meeting” and ATHA chooses the breath, then guides it with an ambient visual, haptic taps and, if you like, a spoken cue or soft tone at each phase. Eyes-closed mode dims the screen so you can follow along in bed. It is free with nothing locked, needs no account, and Apple’s privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”.
Long
ATHA is an independently built breathing app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. It guides inhale, hold, exhale and hold-out through one of ten ambient visuals, haptic taps at every phase change, and optional spoken voice cues, phase tones and ambient sounds, so a session works with your eyes closed.
Ten built-in patterns cover calm, focus, sleep and energy, including Box Breathing (4-4-4-4), 4-7-8, Coherence (5-5) and Extended Exhale (4-6), and anyone can build custom patterns with any hold set to zero. A fading Sleep session, guided programs and an SOS button cover the harder moments. Daily Breath, routines with local reminders, streak freezes and a Garden that grows with practice help the habit last without turning it into a score. Insights come from the user’s own after-session ratings, calculated on the device.
ATHA is private by design: there is no account, no analytics and no server, the app makes no network requests, and Apple’s App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”. Apple Health is optional and write-only (Mindful Minutes and State of Mind). ATHA is free, with no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads. It is a wellness app, not a medical device.
