The five most common problems

Each of these is solvable without emailing anyone.

  1. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data — restoring needs a network.
  3. In DUMP, open Settings → Upgrade to Premium, then tap Restore Purchases.
Still locked? Email me the purchase date and the Apple receipt (Apple emails it as "Your receipt from Apple") and I'll help you sort it out with Apple.
  1. Open Settings → Apps → DUMP → Photos and choose Full Access, or tap Edit Selected Photos to add more items under Limited Access.
  2. If Optimize iPhone Storage is on, some originals live in iCloud. Open the missing item once in the Photos app so it downloads, then retry.
  3. Screen recordings, live-photo stills and some shared-album items may behave differently from ordinary camera-roll media.
  1. Check free storage — DUMP writes full-resolution files and needs room for all of them.
  2. Confirm DUMP is allowed to add to your photo library, not only read from it.
  3. Keep DUMP in the foreground until the progress ring completes; long video dumps take a while and iOS may suspend background work.
  4. Restart the app and export again. If a single item is the culprit, remove it and export the rest to identify it.

In Swipe Carousel mode DUMP saves your original files untouched, and collage pages are rendered at 2160 px as high-quality JPEG. Compression you see after posting is applied by the social app during upload. To keep as much quality as possible, turn on Upload at highest quality in Instagram (Settings and privacy → Data usage and media quality) and post the saved file directly, never a screenshot of it. Projects live only on your device — there is no cloud copy, so deleting the app or resetting the phone removes them permanently. Anything already exported is safe in Apple Photos as a normal album. If projects vanished while the app stayed installed, that is a bug worth reporting: send me your iOS version and roughly when it happened.

Deleting your data

There is no account to close and no server copy to request. Everything DUMP stores lives on your iPhone: delete a project inside the app to remove it, or delete the app to remove all of it at once. Exported dumps stay in Apple Photos until you delete them there.
