The five most common problems
Each of these is solvable without emailing anyone.
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
- Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data — restoring needs a network.
- In DUMP, open Settings → Restore Purchases.
- If a family member bought it, confirm Family Sharing is enabled for that purchase.
- Open Settings → Apps → DUMP → Photos and choose Full Access, or tap Edit Selected Photos to add more items under Limited Access.
- If Optimise iPhone Storage is on, some originals live in iCloud. Open the missing item once in the Photos app so it downloads, then retry.
- Screen recordings, live-photo stills and some shared-album items may behave differently from ordinary camera-roll media.
- Check free storage — DUMP writes full-resolution files and needs room for all of them.
- Confirm DUMP is allowed to add to your photo library, not only read from it.
- Keep DUMP in the foreground until the progress ring completes; long video dumps take a while and iOS may suspend background work.
- Restart the app and export again. If a single item is the culprit, remove it and export the rest to identify it.
DUMP exports at original quality — carousel mode does not recompress at all. Compression
you see after posting is applied by the social app during upload, not by DUMP. To keep as
much quality as possible, upload over Wi-Fi, avoid enabling data-saver modes in the social
app, and post the exported file directly rather than a screenshot of it.
Projects live only on your device — there is no cloud copy, so deleting the app or
resetting the phone removes them permanently. Anything already exported is safe in Apple
Photos as a normal album. If projects vanished while the app stayed installed, that is a
bug worth reporting: send me your iOS version and roughly when it happened.

A screen recording beats any description. Swipe down from the
top-right of your iPhone, tap the record button, reproduce the problem, then attach the video.
It usually turns a week of back-and-forth into a single reply.

Deleting your data
There is no account to close and no server copy to request. Everything DUMP stores lives on your iPhone: delete a project inside the app to remove it, or delete the app to remove all of it at once. Exported dumps stay in Apple Photos until you delete them there.
